This is the largest handmade double Sheepskin rugs we have at the moment, in the most exciting breed yet! We have sourced these stunning Rare Breed Sheepskins, these specific sheepskins look to have some Texel in their bloodline, owing to the distinctive golden butter colour. The golden blonde is one of kind, the first we’ve ever made in our 35+ years, unlike anything that has come before it. It is an absolute stunner, with the most incredible warm gold amongst the charcoal and grey tones. The fur is spectacular, but the weight and fur thickness is incredible too, it has a density to the fur that we do not see very often either.

Our recent trip to our South West Tannery was an absolute treat, as we managed to select a small handful of these incredible 100% British Undyed Rare Breed Sheepskins, these rugs are giants of the Sheepskin world, we have been absolutely staggered by their incredible fur texture and weight. We are absolutely thrilled to share our brand new Supersize 100% British Undyed Natural Double Sheepskin Rug in what we’re nicknaming as “Golden Charcoal”. We are one of the last remaining companies to be making these fantastic Double Sheepskin Rugs from rare breed fleeces. The time it take to match these rugs, to find it’s perfect partner is quite astonishing!

Hand-selected, just days ago, brand new and exclusive, these skins are 100% British, the sheep are bred, grazed on UK fields and processed for meat, all within the UK and tanned in the UK, hand picked and finished by ourselves in our Somerset Workshop. Selected from farms across the UK, only the finest skins make the grade here at Sheepland, we do our best to support British Farming and we have the best relationships with our suppliers.

This stunning Supersize 100% Undyed Rare Breed Sheepskin Double rug would look ideal by a fireplace, at the side of a bed or as a luxurious sofa throw – these are incredibly versatile and can be easily moved from place to place.  These can be kept looking wonderful with a sheepskin brush, which we will provide for free with every rug purchase.
