100% Undyed Rare Breed Natural Double Sheepskin Rug – Made by hand in Somerset

We are absolutely thrilled to share our brand new 100% Undyed Natural Double Sheepskin Rug in what we’re nicknaming as “Undyed Natural Clotted Cream and Treacle “. This rug has some very beautiful natural markings and colour tones. We love the ivory clotted cream base with treacle and honey highlights, you can see from the photos the rich depth of colour through the fleece. All individually hand picked and stitched by ourselves, from 100% Undyed Rare Breed Sheepskins. We are one of the last remaining companies, in the UK, if not the only one in Somerset, to still be making these fantastic Sheepskin Rugs from rare breed fleeces. The time it takes to match these rugs, to find it’s perfect partner is quite astonishing!

As you can see, we have just finished sewing this stunning rug from the most beautiful natural undyed “Organic” sheepskins, which are entirely free of any bleach or dye. The skins have still been tanned to preserve the hide, but the colouring and patterns have been left 100% utterly as nature intended. The cross-breed flocks have some of the most unusual tones and patterns within their fleeces, each and every rug we make from these is completely different and as the skins are so unique they cannot be replicated, ensuring you’ve got something entirely exclusive.

Once this lovely rug is gone, it’s gone! We have hand matched, hand stitched and hand finished this rug all from our Somerset Workshop. We pride ourselves on our craftsmanship, ensuring our quality is second to none. We are incredibly proud to continue the tradition of matching, trimming and sewing these right here in Somerset, unlike many other companies, we make each and every rug right here, from start to finish it is a labour of love.

This rug is approximately: 195cm in length, 86cm across the middle part of the rug.

As ever, this sheepskin would look at home in a chair, over a sofa, at the end of a bed, or in fact (almost) anywhere around the home, lightweight enough to be moved around the home, they are versatile and wonderfully tactile too. There is no greater feeling on a chilly morning, to get out of bed and sink your toes into the sumptuous sheepskin, it really is such a treat. These can be kept looking beautiful with a sheepskin brush, which we will provide for free with every rug purchase.
